The Vuvuzela is a kind of horn with about a meter long. The Vuvuzela is used by fans at football matches in South Africa. Origin of the name: The name comes from Zulu word for "make noise", the "vuvu" sound that the "instrument" does. The sound emitted by Vuvuzela is very high and it seems the sound of an elephant. But the sound of several Vuvuzelas at the same time, is more like the sound of a swarm of angry bees. Noisy and colorful, it became the symbol of the 2010 World Cup.   (Photos: Internet)

A Vuvuzela é uma espécie de corneta com aproximadamente um metro de comprimento. A Vuvuzela é usada por torcedores em jogos de futebol, na África do Sul. Origem do nome: O nome Vuvuzela vem da palavra Zulu para “fazer barulho“, do “vuvu” som que o “instrumento” faz. O som emitido pela Vuvuzela é muito alto e parece o som de um elefante.
